About the BIS Annual Report

The BIS has published an Annual Report every year since 1931. Apart from an overview of the activities of the BIS and the annual financial statements, the Annual Report also contained a review of global economic and financial developments and a commentary on the key issues that economic and financial policymakers around the world are facing.

From 2018 the BIS has published its Annual Report (BIS activities and financial performance) and Annual Economic Report (commentary on the global economy) as separate titles.

The complete historical series of BIS Annual Reports as from 1931 is available online in English, French, German and Italian. Annual Reports from 1997 onwards are also available as separate chapters. All Annual Reports are full text searchable.
