Central Bank Research Fellowship (CBRF)

The Bank for International Settlements invites nominations of research economists, from BIS member central banks who wish to develop a research project at the BIS.


About the programme 

The objective of the programme is to enhance the understanding of issues of strategic importance for central banks and the BIS through collaboration with BIS economists on high-quality research. 

We particularly welcome proposals with a focus on three themes: 

  • Characteristics and nature of financial intermediation, with a special emphasis on topics related to financial innovation and the digital economy
  • Global economy and spillovers
  • Post-crisis monetary and financial stability frameworks
